Maira F. Carrillo
Maira F. Carrillo has always had a desire to help individuals who are facing difficult moments in their lives. She began her legal career as a file clerk and gradually worked her way into becoming a paralegal working closely with clients in family law matters. After working in this capacity for several years, she decided she could better serve her community as a lawyer who could advocate for individuals who were facing family law conflicts.
Since graduating from Baylor Law School and becoming licensed to practice law in Texas, Maira F. Carrillo has represented clients throughout our East Texas counties. She looks forward to continuing to serve our East Texas community in family law matters.

Angie Lackey
Paralegal
Angie Lackey has worked in the legal field for over 32 years, 27 of which are in family law. Her passion for law began at the age of 16 when she began her first job at a title company. Shortly thereafter, she began working for DeLinda Gibbs-Walker for over two decades, where she helped numerous individuals through family law matters. After Judge Gibbs-Walker took the bench, she worked for Kaye M. Alderman for 7 years where she continued her love of working on family law cases. Angie enjoys working with our clients and listening to their concerns to help them through their case.
Angie recently took the paralegal board certification exam and is awaiting her results. We are confident she will pass with flying colors.
Angie and her husband, Chris, have a son, Brock. Brock is a senior set to graduate in the Spring of 2023. Brock keeps Angie busy with all his senior activities.
Courtney Schaeffer Long
Paralegal
Courtney Schaeffer Long graduated Angelina College in 2018 after completing the paralegal program. Shortly after graduating, she began working as a paralegal at a family law firm. Courtney has gained valuable knowledge and experience in family law while working alongside attorneys and clients. Courtney is eager to help individuals navigate through any aspect of a family law case.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, and children, Meela and Beau, who keep her on her toes.
Tiffani Hatcher
Office Manager
Tiffani Hatcher has been a paralegal and office manager in family law for over 23 years. During her tenure in the legal field, she has worked on nearly every type of family law case. Her knowledge on managing an office is invaluable. Tiffani is an incredible asset to our team.
Tiffani and her husband have three wonderful children. She is an active supporter of Central ISD and her church.
Gracie Stewart
Legal Assistant
Gracie Stewart is a jack of all trades. She schedules appointments, sets up files, and makes sure everything is running smoothly in the office. Gracie truly enjoys working on cases where our firm is appointed attorney ad litem for children in CPS care and she seems to create a bond with every child she works with. She juggles all of this while attending Stephen F. Austin State University full time.
When she’s not working or studying, Gracie enjoys spending time with friends and family, and her beloved pet cats.
